Surrendering Your Pet

Pet And Wildlife Rescue will foster local surrendered pets in our approved foster homes if space is available. Our animal centre can accommodate several dogs but we will do our best to foster all non aggressive dogs until an adopter can be found.

If you wish to surrender your pet we ask that you please fill out the form below, or come see us at the animal centre.

If you are having training issues with your pets we encourage you to consult with a local trainer. Many behaviours can be adjusted with a little bit of advice and know how.

Remember that surrendering your pet will be a very upsetting transition for him or her so it is a decision that must be weighed carefully.

Also, please make sure to include your pet’s vet records, favourite toys, blanket etc. and a few days worth of his/her regular food to help the transition.

Pet Surrender Form

Please give us as much details as possible. If we have an open foster home and your pet is suitable for our foster care we will schedule a visit to meet your pet. If we cannot accommodate your pet we will do our best to refer you to another care provider.
  • Tell us as much as possible about your dog so we are able to match him or her with the right foster home.
  • Please explain why you have chosen to surrender your pet.
  • Please let us know if your pet is up to date on routine vaccines, fixed and if she or he has any medical condition.
Due to the amount of time involved in safely re-homing a pet we ask that you please let us know if you think you have found a suitable home for you animal so we can confirm the animal does not yet have an adoption application in process. Thank you for your understanding.
