Vaccinations

When adopting from our organization, your dog will have received its core vaccines (number of boosters included will depend on length of stay at the shelter and the age of the animal). If you have purchased your puppy from a private breeder always ensure that you follow the following vaccine schedule.

Please note that other vaccines are available to further protect your new family member. Talk to your veterinarian for details.

Dog Vaccination
Schedule

  • 6-8 weeks of age
    1st DA2PPCV Distemper, Adenovirus type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Coronavirus.
  • 10-12 weeks of age
    2nd DA2PPCV vaccination Distemper, Adenovirus type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Coronavirus
  • 14-16 weeks of age
    3rd DA2PPCV vaccination Distemper, Adenovirus type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Coronavirus.
    Rabies vaccination

Our cat adoption fee includes core vaccines (number of boosters included will depend on length of stay at the shelter and the age of the animal). If you have purchased a cat or kitten from a private breeder, always check that the appropriate vaccines were administered and contact your veterinarian to discuss the ongoing vaccine schedule for your new friend.

    1st FVRCP Booster (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Chlamydia psittici, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper)
  • 10-12 weeks of age
    2nd FVRCP Booster (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Chlamydia psittici, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia Feline Distemper)
  • 14-16 weeks of age
    3rd FVRCP Booster (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Chlamydia psittici Calicivirus, Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper)
