Basil Ratbone is the thinker of the duo. He prefers to observe from a safe distance, quietly analyzing the situation like a tiny, whiskered detective. He’s cautious at first, but once he decides you are not, in fact, a giant snack-stealing monster, he very gently begins to accept treats… and then immediately reassesses you as “possibly acceptable snack supplier.”

Ratrick Swayze is his equally shy but sweet counterpart, named after a man who clearly understood drama and charisma. Ratrick would like everyone to know he is not shy, he is simply “strategically reserved.” This strategy mostly involves hiding… until food appears, at which point he will suddenly reappear like a ghost with excellent timing and strong snack opinions.

Together, Basil Ratbone and Ratrick Swayze are gentle, sensitive boys who take life at their own pace. They are about 60% litter trained, with the remaining 40% reserved for “we got distracted thinking about snacks and forgot where we were standing.”
