The girls here at the shelter named me Sir Loin. Don’t let the name fool you, I may sound like I belong on a dinner menu, but I assure you I am strictly here for affection, snacks, and possibly guarding the pantry like a very fluffy security officer.

I was found behind a butcher shop, which explains two things: my impressive food opinions and my unwavering belief that all good things in life come in the form of something tasty. I arrived with a bit of a tough exterior – think “streetwise gentleman with standards” – but it doesn’t take much to see the softer side underneath. I can be a little reserved at first, preferring to observe the situation and assess whether you are worthy of my time. (Spoiler: if you have food, you are.) But once I warm up, I’m a sweet, loyal guy who enjoys your company… just not always in a “pick me up and carry me around like a handbag” kind of way. I prefer four paws on the ground where I can maintain my dignity and my snack radar.
