Named during a Tarot themed intake day, The Hermit was supposed to be the quiet, mysterious one. Instead, he’s a social, snuggly goofball who would very much like to be involved in absolutely everything you’re doing at all times. Alone time? Never heard of it.

Bottle-fed in foster care, Hermit (or Hermie, as we call him) is incredibly people oriented and thrives on attention. He’ll follow you from room to room, supervise your daily tasks, and happily insert himself into any cuddle situation. He’s playful, affectionate, and just the right amount of silly, with a gentle, loving personality that makes him impossible not to adore. Sadly, this handsome boy found himself back in our care at just 8 months old after things didn’t quite work out in his previous home. He wasn’t getting along with the other cat in the household and was also having some litterbox troubles. The good news? We haven’t seen any litterbox issues since his return to the shelter! Hermit was an absolute angel as a kitten and enjoyed his siblings, and we suspect that with the right environment, a compatible feline friend (if any!), and a little patience, these concerns may be a thing of the past.

We’re hoping his next home is his forever home, where he can be the centre of someone’s universe and doesn’t have to share the spotlight with a cat he doesn’t particularly care for.
