At PAWR, one of our values is Collaboration: We strive for the greater good for all animals and embrace collaboration with other organizations to maximize positive outcomes. One such organization we are pleased to work with is Wings Rehabilitation Centre.
Wings Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a charitable, non-profit organization of volunteers founded in March 1991. This team provides specialized care for all native wild bird species, as well as advice and placement assistance for mammals on an emergency basis.
Pet and Wildlife Rescue receives numerous calls to assist the community with injured and/or orphaned wildlife. We rely on rehabilitation centres like Wings Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, Heavens Wildlife Rescue, Erie Wildlife, etc. to help us care for the wildlife we take in.
Running a rehabilitation centre takes resources, and PAWR would like to help. We are collecting the following much-needed items that Wings needs to do their valued work:
– cat and kitten kibbles
– cat and kitten canned food
– peanuts (with shell)
– millet
– bird seeds
Let’s fill our van! Our P.A.W.R. van will be parked out front of our Park Avenue Chatham location and is available to collect donations until September 9 but will continue to take donations to them regularly if brought to us.
