Jessica’s journey has been a long one. Originally brought to the shelter as a stray kitten, she was adopted into a home for many years before being sadly returned due to inappropriate urination. But here’s the twist – since settling into her foster home, she has been an absolute angel, faithfully using her litter box and proving that she just needed the right environment to thrive.

Jessica is a deeply gentle cat who finds comfort in familiarity. She’s not one for grand adventure. She prefers her little world, complete with her blanket, her bed, and her favorite chair. While she enjoys being petted, she won’t come to you, you have to go to her. She isn’t a fan of sudden movements but doesn’t mind noise, even staying calm during thunderstorms and vacuuming sessions.

She’s a bit selective with people – sometimes she’s fine with men, sometimes not, but she absolutely adores older kids, greeting them with happy purrs and even a little snuggle from time to time. She is highly food-motivated and eats well, making treats a great way to earn her trust.

She does have a grade 2 heart murmur, but the vet isn’t concerned about her quality of life. Her new family just needs to continue to monitor her health with regular check ups!

Jessica is looking for a quiet, patient home that will let her be herself, a place where she can feel safe and loved on her own terms. If you have a cozy corner and a gentle heart, Jessica just might be the perfect companion for you.
